Food To Strays (Register for FREE FOOD)
Introduction Food to Strays is a community initiative that helps ease both the mental strain and financial burden of those good people that find it difficult to feed their managed stray animal colonies. We invite anyone and everyone including other organizations to participate.
How it works – Through the generosity of gifted food and food purchases, food is collated at a central distribution hub. Food for managed colonies will then be forwarded to collection points across the Emirates for dispersal. If desired, gifted items can be hand-dropped to the central distribution hub and/or the collection points too.
Requests for Food – In order to be eligible for gifted food, certain criteria must be made transparent.
You can apply for gifted food if you are an active member of the community feeding stray animals in a managed colony. A managed colony is defined as not only are you feeding stray animals in a controlled manner, but are actively engaging in Trap Neuter Return process of your animals too.
This scheme is not for existing rescued animals living within a household or an establishment. It is for outside stray animals only.
In order to apply for gifted food, please fill in the form below, which will be forwarded to a collection point manager for assessment. If successful you will be contacted and invited to come and collect gifted food.
Please note: For transparency, food will be gifted as a priority to those that need it most and based upon food availability.
We have no transport, if successful; food will have to be collected from the collection point relevant to your Emirate. For those that do not have transport, please network and work together using the Facebook group Food to Strays
The success of Food to Strays depends on everyone and we encourage you to share all links that aids us to gain gifted food for onward distribution to those that need it.
